SafeSeeds data & privacy policy (beta)

First of all, thank you for joining SafeSeeds as we pioneer AI-powered legal due diligence for startups! Working together is an opportunity for us to validate the work we have done so far and for you to benefit from the insights we can provide, free of charge. Here is a brief recap of our data and privacy policy.

1. Your data is yours. Always.

Your trust is our priority. SafeSeeds exists to serve only you—your documents and any information you provide are used solely to generate your due-diligence insights. We transmit your data to our AI partners (these U.S.-based providers may change over time but will generally include Anthropic and OpenAI) via their dedicated corporate API, and they process it only to return the results we request; by default, they do not use your data to train their public models or for any other purpose.

We do not sell or share your data with anyone. Never will. While our beta service is offered for free, we will be charging for the use of SafeSeeds once the beta period is over.

2. The automatic-automated steps we take to protect your data

Encryption in transit & at rest

• Files you upload and all API traffic are encrypted (TLS in transit; standard encryption at rest).
• Our servers follow industry best practices.

AI partner data handling

• Documents go to our AI partners’ corporate endpoints under strict access controls.
• Our AI partners guarantee these inputs/outputs are purged from their systems 30 days after processing.

SafeSeeds retention

• We likewise delete your uploaded documents and any data we extract from them 30 days after upload.
• The derivative data we generate as part of the SafeSeeds services (org analysis, cap table, summary review, etc.) is stored for your convenience until you delete it or until the end of the beta testing phase. You are free to delete it via your account at any time.

3. The extra steps we offer to safeguard your data

On top of these automatic protections, you can always ask us for custom handling—for example, to manually purge your data immediately after a single test or to agree a shorter retention window. Just reach out and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

This policy reflects our current data and privacy practices. These will evolve over time as we refine our offer and continue to look for the most effective ways to offer you the SafeSeeds services.
